Panasonic Announces Lamdash ES-LA63-S and ES-LA93-K Shavers

Panasonic today announced the introduction of its LAMDASH electric shavers, the newest models in its highly acclaimed line of men’s shavers. The LAMDASH shavers, along with many other personal care products, will be demonstrated at Panasonic’s booth #L12502 at the 2009 International Home + Housewares Show being held in Chicago, Illinois, from March 22-24th, 2009.

The LAMDASH shavers, model numbers ES-LA63-S and ES-LA93-K, both feature an ergonomic, comfortable-to-hold design; four hypo-allergenic stainless steel blades micro-polished and honed to sharp, 30-degree angles; a linear motor drive, flexible pivoting heads and an easy-to-read liquid crystal display. The shavers are also the first four-blade shavers in the market to feature dual motor action, in which the blades move both back and forth and up and down for an even closer shave than typical single-motor linear shavers that do not include this new pivoting action. The shavers’ motors operate at an industry-fastest 14,000 rpm. The ES-LA93-K comes with a fully automatic self-cleaning and charging system.

“We designed the LAMDASH shavers to result in the kind of closer shave today’s man really wants” said Walter Taffarello, Group Marketing Manager, Wellness, Panasonic. “Our micro-polished Nanotech razor blades are honed at a sharper 30-degree angle than the industry-standard 45-degrees, and our dual motor action means that our blades can more closely hug the contours of a man’s face on the first pass, easily matching or surpassing the performance of any shaver on the market today.”

The LAMDASH ES-LA63-S and ES-LA93-K will be available in August 2009. The ES-LA63-S will have an MSRP of $299.99, while the ES-LA93-K will have an MSRP of $399.99.

The shavers are also the first four-blade shavers in the market to feature dual motor action, in which the blades move both back and forth and up and down for an even closer shave than typical single-motor linear shavers that do not include this new pivoting action.
