Panasonic Unveils ES-SL41: a 3-Blade Shaver Targeted At Young Men
Panasonic today unveiled a new 3-Blade shaver at the 2012 International Home + Housewares Show. Positioned as an introductory model for the 18-24 male age group, the ergonomically designed Arc3™ ES-SL41 can be used wet or dry and is perfect for multi-tasking on hectic mornings or for a quick touch-up before heading out for the evening.
The affordably priced shaver – available in white, silver, or blue – is optimized to provide a quick, close, comfortable shave and features 30-degree Nanotech™ blades, a 45-degree trimmer blade as well as Multi-fit Arc Foil that comfortably lifts and guides stubble closer to the blade. The versatile shaver can be used wet, dry, or with foam – plus, the unique water shutters allow for easy and quick maintenance. Just open the shutters to let water flow freely through the shaver head to clean the blades, without having to remove the outer foil.

A multi-purpose holder can be used as either a stand for charging or storage, or as a carrying holder that protects the foil and blades and prevents the switch from being turned on by mistake. A no-slip grip handle allows the shaver to be used comfortably and safely in the shower.
Designed in Milan, Italy, the eco-friendly shaver features a compact foil that only needs to be replaced once a year, while the blade is replaced every two years. This will reduce excess landfill waste caused by disposable safety razors which require replacement at a minimum of once every two weeks, and by competitive electric shavers with foils and blades that need to be replaced at the same time. Additionally, Panasonic will package the shaver in a smaller box with biodegradable cardboard interior protection instead of weak “pulp mold” or non-biodegradable plastic.
